Polishing powders and felts for sanders

The final polishing result is obtained with polishing powders and felts or special tools such as SPON. Menghini & Bonfanti offers a range of powders that allow a perfect shine to be obtained, giving the floor the characteristic mirror effect.

They are used with special felts which, during the rubbing action, produce heat and optimise the use of the powder mixed with water. The powders are available in different types:

Widely tested and appreciated worldwide, perfect on marble, it is pale yellow in colour. It also gives good results on terrazzo.

Felts:

GORILLA PAD - Special low-cost natural bristle felts which, when used appropriately, provide exceptional gloss. Sizes mm. 100/120/170/223/300/330/430.

SPON DISCS - Unique polishing tools with 400/800/1500/3000/6000/10000 grit. They are extremely low cost and perfect on all surfaces from granite to concrete. They can be used in place of powder, arriving at the necessary grit size according to one's needs, or they can be used before polishing with powder for easier and faster work. Dimensions mm.: 52/80/100/120/140/200/223.

CRYSTALLISATION

A crystalliser provides a high gloss, similar to "vitrification", and provides a protective film.

Two different products are available: a base that prepares the surface for subsequent application and a final product.

MB1: base crystalliser with great cleaning power and excellent preparation for crystallisation. It is applied with a low-speed single-brush cleaner and a steel wool disc: it protects the surface, providing a high degree of gloss and resistance to treading. Non-slip, does not yellow over time.

MB3: a very high quality crystalliser that provides an exceptional degree of gloss and has non-slip properties. It is quickly applied to terrazzo, marble, polished concrete and some granite floors. It is used when the quality of work must be top notch.
